History

The Federal Constitution of 1848 heralded major changes to Swiss mail, postal and customs services. 1877 saw the inauguration of the Lausanne-Centre-Ouchy railway line, and a freeport opened in Flon in 1886. This laid the foundation for Switzerland’s and therefore PESA’s oldest freeport.

TRAFFIC CONGESTION & SURCHARGES

The traffic congestion surcharge is calculated based on congestion hours published monthly by ASTAG2. The traffic congestion level results from the sum of congestion hours over the last 12 months. The traffic congestion surcharge is applied to the net transport price based on the traffic congestion zone matrix.

Here you can find the current limits for national and international diesel prices. The calculation of the fuel surcharge is based on our «diesel floater».
